How much can I expect to spend on shipping?
Thus far, I have only shipped to the US, shipping charges usually run $15 – $25 depending on the location/size of the package. If you live outside of Canada and the US, I will gladly find out an estimated shipping cost for your country upon request.
If I have two pets, can they be painted together?
Yes! There’s now an option to order 2 pets together. They’ll be painted side by side on size 8x10” paper.
Do you take commissions for other/unusual pets besides dogs and cats?
Yes, of course! I have painted fish and birds in the past. I am open to painting any pet out there! Dogs & cats are just what is most common.
How long does it take?
All portraits are lovingly hand-painted in my studio within 4-6 weeks. Secure, trackable shipping is available all across Canada and the United States. If you have a specific date in mind, please message me the details, and consider booking early- waitlists are real, as are delayed shipping times.
How do I send you photos and what are the requirements?
Pet Portrait Photo Guidelines:
1. Get on your pet’s level (try not to take the photo from above)
2. Take the photo face forward or 3/4 angle, include ears and neck
3. Try to take the photo where there’s natural light, shadows and lots of clarity. Flash photography is not what you want.
4. High quality images are best – if shooting with a smartphone, just make sure the image isn’t pixelated or a screenshot
What if you don’t think the photos are good enough to use?
If I think the images you sent me won’t work, I will request more photos. If I really think I can’t do a great job on your pet’s portrait, I will tell you.
